Stampin' Addicts Fall Holiday Blog Hop: Witches' Night

http://www.stampinaddicts.com/forums/general-stampin-talk/9586-fall-holiday-blog-hop-august-28th.html
It's been way, way too long, but the Stampin' Addicts generously invited me back to play in the Fall Holiday Blog Hop!  These gals are some of my favorite people and they always have so many wonderful ideas, so I am overjoyed to be participating in this hop.  We are featuring fall-themed products from the brand new Holiday Catalog that debuts next week.

I'm featuring Witches' Night stamp set and the Witching Decor Project Kit.  I am in love with this kit.  So much fun and so much easier than some of the home decor kits we've had in the past.  And the stamp set is perfect for Halloween tags and decor.  So here we go:

Colors: Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, Kraft, Tangelo Twist, Very Vanilla and White.  Stamps: Witches' Night and Vintage Leaves.  Accessories: All paper and embellishments from the Witches' Decor Kit.
So cute, right?  This is the kit the way it is intended to be put together.  All the pieces are die cut for you and ready to stamp, ink and put together.  The only thing I did differently than the kit instructions is the leaves. When I took the leaf die cuts out, I realized they matched up perfectly with the Vintage Leaves stamp set that is in the annual catalog.  So instead of just inking and distressing the leaves, I stamped them first and then inked and distressed them.  It added a bit of time to the project, but still reasonable for an afternoon project.

Colors: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, and Very Vanilla.  Stamps: Witches' Night.  Big Shot: Lots of Label Framelit Dies.  Accessories: Witches' Decor Kit and Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper.  Non-Stampin' Up!: Gift Bag
There were so many pieces left over from the kit after the hat was done that I started playing around with them to turn them into something else. Here I took the paper fringe, the extra Spider Web Doily, and some of the die cuts and added a few things from my stash to create a Trick or Treat bag.  Can you imagine your little witch carrying this around with her on her Halloween rounds?  So fun!
Colors: Kraft, Basic Black, Whisper White and Blackberry Bliss.  Stamps: Witches' Night.  Accessories: Witches' Decor Kit, Clothespins, Happy Haunting Washi Tape, and Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags.
Still more pieces left for this little goody holder using the Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags from the Annual Catalog. There are only two Spider Web Doilies in the kit, but never fear, you can buy a whole package of these things and believe me, you will want them.  Here I cut up the doily to put just sections of it around the edge of the die cut.
Colors: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango and Very Vanilla.  Stamps: Witches' Night.  Big Shot: Lots of Labels and Square Pillow Box Framelit Dies.  Accessories: Spider Web Doilies, Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper.
This project really only uses one piece from the Witches' Decor Kit (that little black 31 that is popped up on the tag) but I wanted to show one more tag with this stamp.  This time I stamped the bird again in black and then carefully cut him out to layer over the top of the image.  And this little square pillow die is also in the Holiday Catalog and is so cute and so easy to put together.  You will love it.

And FYI, there are still several sheets of leaf die cuts left for me to use on another fall projects from the kit as well as a few more tags and black rhinestones.  And I also love that the die cuts in these match up perfectly with framelits we already have in the Annual Catalog.  That way if you make a mistake and run out of pieces (hard to do since there are so many), you can still finish your project. It is very much worth the $22 US price tag.

I hope you've enjoyed my take on this fabulous kit and stamp set.  Thanks for stopping by and hopping along with us.  To navigate through the rest of the hop, click the buttons below, or visit Stampin' Addicts for a complete list of participating blogs.
